Why the US Deep State is Netanyahu’s Only Support
Netanyahu Western support is facing new pressure as political tensions grow between Israel and several Western governments. The dispute with Australia intensified after Benjamin Netanyahu accused Prime Minister Anthony Albanese of helping create an environment in which antisemitism could spread following the deadly Bondi Beach attack.
At the same time, Netanyahu Western support is being tested across Europe, where public opposition to Israel’s military policies has become increasingly visible. Political disagreements, cultural boycotts and growing criticism of the war in Gaza have all added to the sense that Israel’s relationship with parts of the West is changing.
However, the United States remains Israel’s most important strategic partner. This has fueled debate over whether Washington is now carrying more of the political and military burden of supporting Netanyahu’s government.
The central question is whether Netanyahu Western support is truly collapsing or simply shifting toward a smaller group of more committed allies.
